what do you think that they are going to do with it? does he have any family that will claim it or will the just discard it?

To take a pot shot, I figured the body would be in the custody of the US. Although Saddam's dead but the war is far from over.

Controversial personalities such as Saddam, Hitler (and probably Osama if ever captured) would have to be safely put away in the event that their remains were to be further honoured and glorified to start another splinter revolution, political/religious theory, or sorts.

Even if they do discard or pass it back to his family, extreme measures would be taken to make sure that it is disposed at an unknown site or tucked away (whether buried/cremated) from the public.

Either way, they will tell you that it is sent back to the family or claimed by another pro-Saddam Arab state. Subsequently, my guess is that he exact location would only be "declassified" in the next few years or so.

CNN reported his wife wants him buried in Yemen for fear that his gravesite will be destroyed in Iraq.
