What should i observe when looking at hair under a microscope to figure out how dye affects it? ( science fair

im doing a science fair project and observing how different dyes affect the hair - Microscopic characteristis

I would point out 3 different parts of the hair:
root
shaft
end
and I would have an undyed hair next to it for comparison. I would have some sort of history of the dyed hair----how often dyed, how many times dyed, maybe the brand of dye since they use different chemicals between the different companies, and the last time dyed, the age and gender of the person from which each hair came. Stuff like that. Make it interesting.
