And by treason I mean: Disrespecting your country (including flag burning, and dissing the leader of your country) and not being willing to help protect your country (by either fighting for it, or giving up some freedoms for the good of your country).

these things aren't treasonous...actually I could argue that if we made flag burning, dissing our politicians (Bush is a man just like anybody else, he's not God)...and giving up freedoms ARE TREASONOUS...you also said "forget the Constitution"...why don't you move to another country if you don't like this one....wow, you take the neo prize today

Yeah, I know my country. All of its laws are based upon the Constitution, which is the entire set of laws limiting governmental power in our country. Every oath of office & duty requires defense of the country & the Constitution, & not any one or anything else.

You & those like you can't seem to get it that our leaders are NOT the country, especially when it appears they may be guilty of crimes against the people. Many of us are calling for investigation of those charges, which our Constitution grants us the right to do. (That last sentence was too strong) I support your right to disagree, but your threats are way over the top.

I believe in expression of whatever you believe as a freedom granted by the First Ammendment.

I support the President. While many do not, I respect that people don't always agree with me. I don't always agree with our President.

However, that right should be limited to expressions on US soil. If you want to go over and talk smack about the US in an enemy territory, well, stay there. Don't criticize the US outside of the US.

If you do, I don't mind punishment for that. No other country broadcasts their disdain for their leadership - partly because they aren't allowed to - but because they respect their way of life.

We should too.

You want to give up freedom? There should be a penalty for dissing the constitution.

The people who want to take away our personal right to property and privacy rights that give away our sovereignty as a nation or the right to exist as a nation, because of stupid trade agreements are the ones who need to be tried for treason, right along with the bunch that refuses to defend and protect Americans or the borders. Flag burners deserve jail time and learn what free speech really is.

So who would go first? The fascist Neoconservative leaders who dismantled the US Constitution they swore on a bible to protect? The leaders who lied to the American people and protected and hid pedophiles and gay prostitutes who visited the White House over 400 times? The ones who snookered the Christian right by using them to gain votes with promises of funds for poverty and called them "goofy" behind their backs and gave them nothing. Read a book.

Get your priorities straight.

You wanna kill someone for burning the flag? Where do you live? Some really backward mid-eastern country?

Or the States?

Has to be one of those.

The Nuremberg trials dealt with this issue. The Nazis, it was decided, deserved the death penalty for committing war crimes and for prosecuting an illegal war even though it was the law of their land and they would have been executed as traitors if they did not support it.
