on the outside moving parts it's ok. but not inside the throttle body the inside is coated with something you don't want to scratch it or wash that coating off with any harsh chemicals

WD40 is NOT a lubricant, WD40 is a water dispalcement formula that is misused as a lubricant. It will act as a lubricant in some instances, but for what you are using a silicon spray would be a better choice. WD40 was designed to keep metal exposed to the elements from rusting. Discovery channel had a great documentary on WD40

Yes, but if you are having trouble with the throttle sticking, then you will need to clean the tbi unit. WD40 is also goood to spray on door hinges, hood releases, anything metal
