i feel that i have 5x more quadriceps muscles than my hamstrings... b/c when i kick the ball at rest, it doesnt go that far (probably 40yards).

but when somebody passes the ball and i shoot, then it goes like 60+yards ....

is this ok? if not, how can i improve my hamstring muscles?

Stiff leg deadlift...no need to go heavy

squat exercises with only body weight

leg curls

walking lunges w/ dumbells

One reaon could be adrenaline.

Best work-out for your hammies is to lie on your stomach and lift the bottom part of your legs with wieght on them. Most work out machines have this feature.
