I'm Scottish and I'm definitely not racist.
I think it's just the way people raise their children, like parents thinking that other races are 'unacceptable' or whatever. I men, like, some of my friends use the word \paki', but that's purely out of ignorance: they don't know any better and they don't know it's insulting.
But I doubt that ignorance is exclusively a Scottish thing, do you?
As for alcoholism: it's on the increase everywhere and it too isn't just a Scottish thing.

Due to personal reasons, i hate the scottish(my husbands cousin was killed by a drunk driver scotsman - completely true, I swear) .
Did you know that in York there is a road where it is still legal to shoot a scotsman with a bow and arrow if you were born within its walls. But yes in my experience they are all alcholic racist f**k heads. Sorry to all nice scots out there. All 3 of ya!!

i'm scottish and i'm not alcoholic or racist i enjoy a drink and i married a english bloke. Who when i first moved to england i had to put up with a lot of snide comments about being scottish so i say b@lls to it it's rubbish

I've seen that the Scottish are much, much less racist than the English. As for alcoholic, yes, they all seem to drink every day.

False. I've been to Scotland several times and would never make such a statement. Like any society, there are probably racists and alcoholics in Scotland but those comments surely don't describe everyone there. Ridiculous.

Calling the scottish alcoholic is not exactly racist becaue the scottish are not a race, they are a nationality. It is bigoted however. i agree with your sentiment. There are alcoholics of every nationality (and every race), and there are non-alcoholics of every nationality and race. It's an over-generalization.

well if u talk about being alcoholic then i think whole british nation is alcoholic and if u talk about being racist then everyone have bad ppl among them. I m living in Glasgow and i m Paki. but during my stay for last 3years i never have any problem at all not even a single time.
