CNN is a left wing liberal media circus. I often refer to it as the Clinton News Network (referring to Bill Clinton) When he was in office they reported about him like he was a supreme being. I have never trusted CNN, nor will I ever.
You really have to ask yourself, "What are these guys(the media) saying?" Is it a report or is it conjecture, opinion, fantasy? A report should be the concise information answering the who, what, when, where, why, and how! Most of the time the news is telling the public what they(the media) THINK happened.
I met a very old man when I was a young boy. He said to believe 10% of what I hear, 10% of what I read, and 10% of what I see. He then did a slight of hand card trick and I understood!
Don't trust CNN or ALJAZEERA. Both of them are businesses making money at our expense.

I always keep an open mind, I am not quick to believe what I am told...but I heard it from the Iraqi National security advisor's mouth myself...broken and fear....so i don't know what you were translating or your method.

On the same token although al-Rubaie said he looked broken and he could see fear...Saddam did tell him "Do not be afraid"

Stories get misconstrued constantly some deliberately and some innocently....We as people need to keep an open mind and look at both sides and decide for ourselves...

EDIT...Now after seeing the video for myself...he looked very calm and composed.

Well it all depends on how people perceived Saddam's emotional state to be. Some may just have seen normal behavoir for someone calm while others know that Saddam is usually rowdy so the calmess to them represented fear in him. Your media probably misinforms you as well... all medias are a little biased in one direction.

I just heard a man saying on Fox News that Saddam "seemed broken and afraid". He spoke English with an accent. He had been at the execution, was one of the witnesses.

Thank you for your information. It is impossible for those of us who do not know Arabic to understand what is said in this language and if the translation is factual, and I presume the reverse is likewise true that Arabic speakers who don't understand English are sometimes misled.

It seems sometimes that the media in its search for news to report, reports stories in a way that makes more trouble, more stories.

a lot of "News" services are too commercial. they have to "sell" their stories to the people that buy them.

The more sensationalist, the more cash.

If there was "Peace in the Middle East" a lot of these news services would loose a lot of $$$. Always look for confirmation to stories that show Muslims or Christians in a bad light.

I think that is a pretty small lie compared to the lie about 9/11. It sounds more like a misinterpretation of his facial expressions; who cares? He is dead, and that is all that matters.

all media lies to meet the needs of thier goal. Sadam should not fear death itself but rather what he faces now.
