Halle Berry is half white. And Transgenico- for the sake of your feelings and because we all know what you look like, i'll say that monkeys aren't ugly. It's okay to look like one, don't be ashamed. Just out of curiosity, are you transpecied? Maybe a mix of monkey in you there?

Some of what is shown on the media of black people commiting these crimes, and always showing fights between black people, does increase the stereotype that we are loud and ignorant. But that's with every race, and I've seen it, but a lot of us do have this self hatred for our own skin after always being discriminated against, that we even hurt eachother. We don't need other races to turn us against eachother. We do it ourselves. Calling eachother the N word, calling someone darker black, burnt, our men not finding us beautiful anymore unless we are light skinned. And this isn't just in our race. All races are discriminated against these days, and who is to blame? People! Not just one type but all! Don't let that make you feel less beautiful or of a person. Love who you are, because you can't change your race. Beautiful acts beautiful.

There has been a long history in popular culture of beauty being typically white, skinny, blonde, high cheekbones et-cetera. Personally, I think that dark skin is beautiful, it hides the veins that you can see in white skin. Unconscoiusly, everybody finds good symmetry to be attractive, not race, and more and more models are popping up in magazines with strong African features, not kittenish Christie Brinkley features (no offense to Ms. Brinkley). Beauty is taught, is is something that people learn to appreciate. The real ***** is that when you feel beautiful, people see you as beautiful. I don't know how it works, but it does! I suggest that you look through some fashion magazines and start cutting out the pictures of Black models, put them up in your room and try and see what you like about them, what similarites they may have to some of your features, and don't be surprised if you find a few who make you think that you are even prettier than they are! This can be fun, and it can help you learn to feel beautiful, and in turn become beautiful, in spite of what the media tries to brainwash everyone with! Just imagine if Tyra Banks gave up! She doesn't have the almost European features of Iman or Naomi Campbell, but she is a beauty! And she taught us to appreciate a beauty that was different from the standard european mold. Just don't listen to the media, pay more attention to what you think is beautiful.

The media certainly doesn't portray black people as ugly. The top 100 most beautiful women had many black women, with the top two being Beyonce Knowles and Hally Barry!

I think things in this world are so crazy now....I mean throughout history, people have continually treated other human beings very badly, race, religion, sexual preference, etc. The way people treat one another throughout time, doesn't seem to have gotten better, I mean there are people hurt everyday because they don't fit some crazy persons notion of what is the best "sort" of human being, in their eyes. I think the media is $ hungry, for that great story, that'll make them famous or get the ratings, and it doesn't matter who they hurt along the way.....I also think as far as the media portraying anyone, by soley their race, to make them look bad is very harmful to the public viewing audience. It took one person in Germany back in 1935 to convince others that one race needed to be extinct, and people went along with it. One person, in the 20's, 30's, 40's, etc, had a negative opinion where others followed, and the negative outcome because of that has gotten people killed, soley because of what color they were....Now, in this time, there is a supply and demand for controversy...The juicer the news is the better, so why not focus on the bad stuff, people who are not role models to our youth, it makes better news....There is garbage in every race....There are good and great people in every race, but we only hear about them in small numbers......Lots of ugly people in the world....Not where physical beauty is the ugliness, but how they are as a human being, and how they treat others, I think........hope this doesn't sound dumb...You like yourself, to hell with what others think of you, virtual strangers are going to make you feel less than yourself, hell no.....don't you let it get to you, if you do, then those losers win...........

there are black supermodels and A list hollywood stars. you are as ugly as you let yourself feel. you lack confidence in yourself. learn to feel good about yourself and it will show. don't worry about what others think of you. beauty is in the eye of the beholder anyway. look in a mirror and like what you see - smile and show some teeth. you'll like what you see. if you have a close friend or two ask them to help you with a makeover. make a game out of it. remember the ugly duckling that became a swan! good luck!

It is a basic prejudice that has been with us since the beginning of time. There isin´t much that can be done other than attempt to reverse it. No one has any right to make u feel ugly or bad in any way whatsoever.
