All the people that said Lamar Odom are really pathetic. Its no contest. Ron Artest has defense, scoring ability, and the intimidation factor. Lamar Odom is just a regular guy, nothing special about him. He was less than mediocre with the Clippers and will never propel any team into the playoffs. If it were between Artest and someone like Tay Prince, that would be harder because Prince helps his team when it counts the most, in the PLAYOFFS! Until Odom does something in the playoffs, its Artest, HANDS DOWN!!!

I like this matchup and I'll have to go with my dude L.O. not just because I'm a big Kobe/Laker fan but because Odom IS better!

1. Odom is a better overall player if you take everything into consideration. Odom can score in more ways than Artest can, he creates defensive nightmares for other teams because of his size and ability to handle the rock. He lacks the defensive intensity of Artest but fully makes up for the absence of steals and stops with his rebounds and assists. Lamar makes the players around him better because he's a selfless ball player-he always looks to pass first and set his team mates up.

2. Odom is more likely to help his team to a 'Chip because he does so much on the floor. He can guard 3 or 4 positions and he's an instant mismatch on the offensive end.

3. Any team would LOVE to have Odom on their team. Apart from that Marijuana problem he had earlier in his career, he has managed to stay out of the negative media. Ron Artest on the other hand, well you already know.

4. If you're talking fantasy, you're talking L.O. The man is a triple double threat every time he steps on the floor. He fills up a stat sheet man! I wouldn't want Ronny on any of my teams...and I'm from Queens!

1.) Overall it's tough to say. Odom is the better scorer. He's got 3-point range, can knock down jumpers from anywhere and can post you up. He's big man who can pass and has handles to run the point in some situations. A matchup problem for the opposition but can be over-powered on defense...On the flipside, Artest is one of the most feared defensive players. Sticks to his check like crazy glue and plays with hustle and tenacity. Offensively, can hit the open jumpers and has some post moves but not that quick or smooth off the dribble...asking who's better is like asking, are you a breast or *** man. Offense or Defense? I say ODOM because his game has more dimension than Ron Ron's...and breasts.

2.) Both players are role players. They are not the go-to-guys. I would have to say that ARTEST is more likely to help his team win a finals because Defense ulitmately wins rings. Also, I've seen Odom take selfish shots sometimes and Artest plays more team orientated, playoff style ball.

3) Picking Odom or Artest, depends if a team needs a big man who can shoot or a guy who can guard the other teams best player. I would have to say most teams would rather have ODOM on their team because we all know that Ron Ron is a little unstable and a little nutty.

4.) ODOM. Hands down. When he's healthy, he can do it all. Score points. Rebound. Block Shots. Steals. Shoots 3's. Good FT%. Picks up ASTs...Triple-Double threat (again, when he's healthy). Artest is a decent scorer, rebounds and gets more steals but just doesn't fill up the stat sheet like Odom does.

Very selective about your stats... I would be willing to bet that you are a Ron Artest fan.

1) Lamar Odom and Ron Artest are very nice players, but Artest is more talented. Odom probably plays better, but Artest is better.

2) Odom is more likely to get his team to the championship - he plays with Kobe and Sacto stinks.

3) Odom. Artest is a complete loser and a cancer to a team.

4) Artest. He is obsessed with himself, so he always gets good stats and does better in "the little things".

1)i hate the lakers but im gonna say odom.
he does pretty much everything but dish out assts and shoot a high FT%, but neither does artest. defensively artest is better, but odom is better overall and shoots a higher % from the floor.
2)odom, kings are sucking this year with or without artest. they arent the same team that almost beat SA last yr in the playoffs. lakers are on the rise and they are doing it without odom just wait till he comes back. lakers have a better shot at the championship that the kings
3)odom, artest is a huge cancer. caused problems in indiana and now is bringing it to sacto. he is the terrell owens of the NBA
4)odom

lamar odom is better overall he better with perimeter defense altough artest is a good defener also but odom is very long and quick. plus odom is way more versatile u can post him,he bring the ball down the court, pass he just better than artest is at those things

2. Odom did a great job of getting miami to second round him and wade. odom has good attitude which is important to winning artest doesn't have that. artest is selfish odom isn't

3.Odom is a versatile small forward u put him anywhere he wont complain but make his game fit to the situation easily odom is better than artest then this. artest need u to post him up then get him the ball that not team ball

4.Odom fills up a stats sheet but so does artest so it vey close but i will take odom he just is more consistent.
