use your temping to source out good employers...make sure you always preform at your best....when you find an office that you would like to work for speak to the hr manager and leave them a copy of your resume....if you have impressed them enough then im sure they will think of you when a position becomes availabe.....and yes office assistant or file clerks count as a career....from there there may be other opportunities to climb up the corporate ladder......

A job is work that is usually temporary and doesn't have a lot of room for advancement. In most cases you have a job but you're only doing it to make money before a career and you don't like it. A career is something you like and want. You can advance in it.
