any tips on the best way to stop snoring i know laying on your side is supposed to help but what else any tips????

The first thing you need to do is get checked for medical causes of your snoring like sleep apnea or a sinus problem. Once the doc has ruled out a medical cause for your snoring then he can offer suggestions to help. See your doc and get checked out first though.

You should have a sleep study done, as there is a good chance that you have sleep apnea. Untreated, this condition can damage your heart and even be fatal.
Apnea is treated with a device called CPAP, but you can't just go out and buy one. You must have a prescription from a sleep doctor, and you must be tested to determine the proper settings for he machine, as too much or too little pressure are both harmful.
Ask your doctor for a referral to a sleep clinic. It is important not to wait, as most sleep clinics have a fairly long wait before they can see a new patient, and the longer you wait, the greater the potential damage to your health.
CPAP cures snoring 100%. It is painless, and most people either adjust to it instantly (as I did) or within a night or two. Once you use the CPAP regularly, you will feel much better and have more energy during the day.
Contrary to popular belief, many normal weight people have sleep apnea, so don't think you can skip being checked if you're not overweight. Apnea is very common and conrtibutes to much bad health and early death.

How about those Breathe Right strips? They're supposed work - couldn't hurt - try 'em - see if they do. Just a thought.
