I might partake a little less in controlled substances, that way I'd remember more of my youth! But everybody tries it. You just have to examine the reasons you do things. The one thing that I would say to you as a young adult would be: Just think first! Sometimes it's hard to stop and think (no offense intended). But if you stop and think about what you are about to say and/or do, then think of the repurcussions of what you are about to say and/or do. You would probably get more out of it. Being mean and nasty gets you close to nowhere . I'm 47 years old and the father of 3 great kids. I'm also divorced, so you know that I've made my share of mistakes. But I would change very little of my life as it is now. I've tried to teach my kids what is right, not what I would want. You have to make your own decisions in life, and you will make alot of wrong ones. What you do with that info is up to you also. Respect is an admirable trait for anyone to have, but few do. We all have a conscious, are you going to listen?
I've been a Beatles fan from their beginning. And one line from one of their songs has stuck with me since I first heard it. It is also my very favorite song, and it is so true. It's from the song Golden Slumber on Abbey Road.
"....and in the end, the Love you take; is equal to the Love you make..."
Great words to live by. Good Luck to you.

To relive my 20's...NO THANKS!!! But I don't know what I would have done differently? I am who I am today because of all my life's lessons. I think I would have waited to live my boyfriend. Learned to get along with his family a little better. Soooo... don't rush into things. Live life to the fullest. No regrets, no excuses. And your way may not always be the right way.... but the ride is sure fun=)

I would not have married right out of High School. When we are 20 we think we know everything and love and all the things of importance. We do not. We are babies. I wish everyone would listen to that and wait to marry and have babies

Probably nothing. My 20's were pretty good to me. I got married, had kids and had a steady job. Granted I was away from home a bit but over all not bad.

Use this time to travel and get educated. Have fun, fun, fun. You are only young once.
Leave the family obligations for your 30s.

I never would have started drinking. I should have stuck with weed. Damn it, Tricia! It's all your fault!

to realize that this is the only time that you'll be in your twenties but what you do in your twenties affects the rest of your life.
