I pushed the elevator button and had a large ring on my finger and recived a shock from the button. This happen in Nashiville, TN in a large hotel chain. I need to know if this has happen to anyone else in Nashiville TN. PLEASE REPLY

Sue those bastards!
I'll bet the elevator runs on Windows now (MS just took over a large hotel chain), that's why you got the shock.
You could put some chewing gum on the button first.

The shock you got was most likely static electricity. I have seen times when static electricity will actually jump out at you like a bolt of lightning.

Yep and they had just fixed the elevator button Ouch it hurt!
