The hoarse voice and the nasal infection/irritation should have passed once the child is born...but breast feeding actually maintains the hormonal imbalance that probably was present while you were pregnant...

Believe it or not, having a child is very stressful on the female's body...as your body is working overtime while pregnant to fend off disease, infections, and viral abnormalities...

but once the child is born and your body (which was caring for two people, not just one) can tone down and focus on the one, your voice should return to its normal pitch....althought it takes upwards of 12-18 months for the chemicals to reset to their normal potency...

PS...dont whisper when you speak...that hurts the voice-box even more...just talk as normal as possible..and rest the voice as much as you can....try to speak very little for maybe a week...you'd be surprised how much you talk in 7 days...there's no damage, trust me, just over-use....

Remember that you really can't/shouldn't contaminate your body with any meds, not even aspirin, until you are completely finished with the breast feeding...

GOOD LUCK!!!

Pregnancy sucks vital nutrients out of YOUR body to make something really special. It sounds like you are operating with a vitamin and mineral deficiency. Nutrition is probably the answer for you. DON'T take prescription medications, they all have side effects and cause as many problems as they cure. Seriously, look into it!

You need to get that checked, its unusual to get that when your pregnant. It could be sinus or and ear infection...check with your doctor!!
