I have a Dell and have had no problems with it since I bought it over two years ago. As far as I am concerned regarding the information you provide the only thing you need to consider is regarding the about of RAM you have in this computer. If you are going to upgrade to the new Windows Operating system, Vista, you should have 2 GB of RAM according to this article:

http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20060518-6863.html

According to this website:http://www.gadgetreview.com/2006/03/windows-vista-eats-up-800mb-of-ram.html

Windows Vista uses up 800MB of RAM and a requires 7 GB of hard drive space to install (his is all based off an internal version of Beta 2 of Vista).

Everyone telling you that processor is no good for gaming doesn't know what they are talking about. The problem is the video card, that is not a gaming card. It will play 3+ year old games at moderate settings, but this is not a gaming computer, but because of the video card, not the processor.

It's a decent price for the computer, but what REALLY makes it a great deal is the warranties and the support from Dell...

For Moderate gaming, I'd say it's a good deal...

Worth the money. It can last you years & years.

Don't like that it only burns Cds & not DVDs.

Make sure you get a free upgrade to Vista (if you want it). Most all PC manufacturers are offering this to new buyers.

Not a great deal .... but better than average.

its not the sort of thing you would want for gaming
intel leads buy far when it comes to games and multitasking even video playback

infact the processor stinks

in AUD i could sell it to you for $650 as a base unit with xp sp2 Pro so i guess if you want to change anything later or save some money and use your own speakers and monitor then have it custom built

but personally i wouldn't go near it with a decent game in mind

not worth the money if you play pc games. it is waayy too slow!! if you want to run games that is. most 3D games require a speed of at least 2GHz to run at a decent speed. not to mention who the hell uses 56k modems nowadays. there are way faster computers for lower prices.
