ok. first off im 15, i'm 5*1, and i weigh 117 pounds.
as far as i know my BMI [body mass index is totally fine]

but for some reason i have weird stretch marks on my hips and lower back reaching down to my butt. [oh and some on the back of my left leg just above the knee]

i havent gone through some dramatic weight change so i dont know how i just got them. [literally i just saw them one day.]

oh and sometimes they turn a real dark purple red.

what could this be from and what can i do?

maybe cuase you hit a growth spurt and grew kinda quick. They don't always have to be from weight change.
Yours are still red and purple colors. This is the best time to start treating them. You can try stri vectin. I heard that it works. It's a cream type stuff, but I think it only reduces the apperance. I believe you can find it at macys and maybe some other department stores.Google it and see. Another thing I have heard about is called microdermabrasion. The dermatologist will do it and I think it takes about seven treatments. It is cheaper than laser surgery. I know that laser surgery is THE best way to rid yourself of them completely, but it is pricey. I'm not sure about the microdermabrasin and how effective that is or how much it cost. You could talk to a dermatologist about it for more info. Good luck!

dramatic weight loss can cause stretch marks. the color eventually fades but try doing some excercises to tone up and use plenty vitamin E cream daily as this is excellent for your skin

It's just from your body changing and growing, I don't know how to get rid of them, I have them from two babies. If you are worried, talk to a doctor.

I have heard that using cocoa nut butter lotion works over time.
