He refused a hood because he wanted to his face to be seen, it was probably because he was a conceited, foolishly proud man.

If you had ever seen a person hanged without one...you would understand. The psychiological impact of a hanging on the witnesses is something that only those of us that have seen a hanging can really appreciate. It is the sort of thing that someone that understands how such a thing can motivate people to stand against those that were in responsible for the hanging. I fully expect word to spread of how gruesome it was and for those that are looking for a reason, an excuse really for violence and action to take those steps. That is what he is counting on and I am sure taht the militant factions will not disappoint him. I know IF my won government ever gets around to executing me rather than trying to destroy me in other ways or simply let me destroy myslef, or refuse to acknowledge the effort of my enemies to kill me, that I will request to be fully visible during the entire process, regardless of what it is....
