Tell me one thing that Saddam did that our current or previous administrations aren't also guilty of, and ill retract my statement that he shouldn't have been executed.

Of course, while he lived the threat remained that he could create a resurgence.

That's not ignoring the risk that his being 'put down' [like any rabid animal] could see him become a martyr.

Right to lifers are a sad bunch here in OZ, we no longer have the death penalty, if it were up to me I'd put down paedophiles rapists murders & the like.

Forensic science is such that innocent people would not be put down. My question of them is this; Are opponents prepared to accept responsibility for repeat offenders? I doubt it!

Not only do i think he should have been executed but i think we need to lower our standards for execution... child molestors, gang members, annoying customer service people, those guys who flip burgers at the mcdonalds on monroe, small dogs, chia pets and anyone who wears plaid pants and enjoys it.
