The left side of the brain, where speech and language is controlled, does not really work coherently in dreams. Have you ever tried to read something in a dream? It's nearly impossible. If you ever are having a dream where you are not sure if you are asleep or awake, try to read something, and it will be garbled, then you will know you're dreaming.
