I am flying to Mumbai at the end of January and want to book a train from there (is it Churchgate or VT station) to Goa (is it tivium?). I am having difficulty booking it on line and avigationg throught the IRCTC site. Can anyone offer any advice. Thanks

I think you are having difficulty in findind start & end station.
In mumbai you have to choose CST (this is station code for mumbai CST station,earlier known as VT).

Goa is a State not a city.So you need to choose Madgoan (Station code is MAO)

Many trains are available between CST & MAO.
although few trains also run from Thane station & panvel in Mumbai suburban stations.

To book a ticket from Mumbai to Goa. It is CST (Chatrapati Shivaji Terminal) station and to Goa it is Thivim station. You can easily book online only if there are tickets available look out for availability first. Alternately you can visit another site mentioned below which is far easier to use.
