I don't think that there is a age that you could be to be to old. If you feel that you are ready for that, you should go for it. I use to say that I wish that I never had any kids, but now I have two step kids and a grand-baby who I am so crazy about. So yes I think you should go for it when ever you're ready...

you can have kids when your 50 it all depends on your body Sarah and Zechariah in the bible had kids when they were really old i think like 40 is an age to stop having kids, my mom is 50 this year and my brother will be 10 next year its not bad its just after a certain age you cant relate to your kids generation and you wont be around for them as long i have a friend whos dad is 62 and he has a 9 year old daughter... i dont think hell be there when she gets married or has kids because he could die within the next ten years god forbid it all depends on the couple i think at what age you should stop having kids but you could always adopt an older child..

It really depends on your attitudes, health and outlook. The longer you are childless, the harder it will be on you.
Can you see yourself at 45 chasing a toddler? eek!
For me, I don't think I want any more - for the moment. I had mine quite young and kept up with no problems. Now... I'm starting to feel older :P My friend who had her daughter at 38 complains how she is tired all the time, goes out every weekend because she needs a break, goes away on vacation every few months - for a break...Just doesn't get it!
Hang out somewhere where there are kids. [your family, even a library!] Does it tug at your heart? Or do you go home happy to your quiet house? :P
You could volunteer to be a Big Sister for now also to help your clock to stop ticking for the moment!
Once you hit 35 your chance for chromosomal birth defects [ie Downs Syndrome] starts to skyrocket as well....

My parents were in their 30 and that was to old for them . They were very set in there ways and didn't want to take me to do kid things because of the noise. But if you can handle all that it's fine. I definitely wouldn't want to have a child so late in life that when you go out in public they keep commenting on your grandchild which is really your child.

I would say in my late 40's early 50's...............so 48 to 52 is a little old but that is the latest I would have kids.

I'm to the point that since it hasn't happened yet it probably won't happen at all. I'll just adopt a toddler or 8 year old, but I think 35 is the oldest you should be, for your health and your financial obligations.

For me, 40's is too old. This is just my preference though, to have them younger. I want to be young enough to play basketball & stuff with them. When I am 45 & my kid is 5 & wants to wrestle, I might break a hip. I want to be a young mother.

I think physically it would be wrong to try after 40, because of all the complications that can result. also, I think 40 is a good age to stop having children, if you're pushing it.
