We call them beadys, or beadies. Is there a correct term for them?

They are often called "pills".

I always called them pills. Comes from the fabric rubbing up against other types of fabric over time.

its called pilling and comes from the fibers on the surface tangling and balling up together. happens mostly to sweaters but some other fabrics too.

they r called pills they form after fabric has been rubbed on to other fabric, like they form around the area of ur thighs on jeans becuz the fabric rubs

It is just fabric fuzz. They are formed after washing and drying for periods of time. You can remove them with a fabric shaver. It works wonders and restores your clothes.

we've always called them pills. welll, like, "the fabric is starting to pill." like what happens to the butt of an od bathing suit.
