Who else watched that movie, thought it wasn't too bad, and simply HATED the ending????

If you watch the interview with the director in the DVD extras, he explains both the short and longer endings. The woman at the end of the movie lost her mind from all that she experienced. She never left the cave, but was able to escape in her mind to a better place.

I thought it was the best horror movie to come out this year. Far better than the usual garbage. It's been a long time since a horror movie kept me involved like this one. I actually learned something about the characters and cared about what happened to them! And the pacing was great. I liked both endings, the U.S. theatrical one and the DVD one (as the movie was originally shown in the UK).
To me this movie was head and shoulders above the diaper load of rip-off, copycat, re-make, franchise (II, III, 2, 3, etc.) horror flicks we sometimes call "good", because there was nothing current that was better to compare them to. For me, now there is. And my suspicions were confirmed - most of the others recently have sucked, often to the point of being unintentional comedies.
Many of us have become simple where it concerns suspense/horror storytelling, mistaking silly ways to kill people and special effects for a good story. Duh,..yup! Yup! Yup!
I hope more horror movies this smart and clever come along.
Tastes are unique, so if you didn't like it, that's all good. But I hope you get it. Because if you get it on all of its levels, it's likely you enjoyed it.

I saw it at the theatre and I've got it playing right now on DVD. For a horror flick, I thought it was good. I'd give it 3 stars out of 4.

Stephen King thought it was the best horror movie of the year. Because all horror movies this year sucked.

I thought it was mostly BORING (one or two decent KILL scenes don't make a movie) I thought it was stupid that the asian girl couldn't just say how she killed Beth by accident (Served her right for sneaking up behind her like that) Come to think of it, I'm GLAD none of them got out alive, EXCEPT I wish the asian gal had gotten out. (She was a hottie!!!)
