A little bright red (fresh) blood when you wipe, or on panties is a sign that your cervix is dilating.
With my last baby, I started bleeding when I went into labor. My midwife came to check me, and when she pulled her hand out, it was covered in blood. I had never seen that before, with any of my 4 previous births. She was not concerned, but I was in labor at that time. Maybe I had some clotting, or maybe a low line placenta - I didn't ask her, but I did hemmorhage after birth. Nothing major, but another possible sign of a low line placenta. I did great, and baby was perfect.
Feel free to e-mail me if you just want someone to bounce things off of during this time of uncertainty. It's so hard to wait sometimes - especially when having "labor" signs. kaland@mac.com

You need to call your doctor. I lost huge blood clots for several weeks at the end for no apparent reason and everything was fine but that isn't the norm. I wouldn't wait if you are literally soaking several pads a day. Or if it's only spotting I wouldn't worry because it is normal after the plug comes out. My doctor couldn't explain why I lost all those clots and again the outcome was fine. but if it's a lot then call now. If it's light wait. Be prepared to go get checked out when you call because they can't really tell over the phone just as I can't with so little info in your question. Good luck

Sounds perfectly normal to me! You may want to ask your doctor just to be sure though. When a woman loses her mucus plug, that means that her cervix is changing....either effacing or dilating. Those same changes can also cause some light bleeding or spotting. It's probably nothing to worry about at all. You may go into labor before your induction, which, unless you have a real medical reason to be induced, is probably better for both you and the baby. Congratulations!

Go to labor and delivery. That isn't normal. I was always told to go to the hospital if you start bleeding because it could be a sign of the placenta detaching from the side of the uterine wall. Don't wait go now and get checked out. I have had two babies and as soon as I started bleeding with my first daughter I was at the hospital to find out one of my twins had died. I think you should be safe and go. God Bless.

i don't be attentive to why you would be released in case you're already 5cm dilated. you in basic terms have 5 greater to pass till you're think to commence pushing! looks to me such as you would be in the wellness midsection nonetheless. dropping your mucus plug in simple terms means which you're persevering with to dilate and that your cervix isn't any longer keeping the plug in place. How are you think to be attentive to whilst to pass back? in case you're no longer in lively exertions i could ask your Dr approximately induction given which you're distinctive the way there besides. i could in simple terms fret which you will get extremely some distance alongside without understanding it and not have time to come back to the wellness midsection.
