You can give your guinea pigs vegetables (e.g. lettuce, cabbage, carrots), fruits (e.g. apples, bananas) or those guinea pig pellets from your pet store, they like those. Make sure to chop whatever you're giving them into smaller pieces and try varying what you give them everyday.

They love lettuce but if they get too much it will give them the runs. Cabbage is not good for guinea pigs, or onion or potato, but you probably will find that they don't like things that are not good for them. Carrots and apples are there all time favourites, they also like most other fruit and vegetables. They also eat grass of course. Guinea pig mix from the supermarket or pet shop is essential. Take away un-eaten food before it gets bad and always make sure they have clean cool water. If you live in a cold climate, don't let them graze on frosty grass, it will make them sick. They will not survive in extreme heat. We bring ours inside (cool brick house) if the temperature outside gets above 30 degrees Celsius (approx. 100F). Buy or borrow a book on keeping Guinea Pigs, it will be well worth the effort. They will also eat weeds from the garden like St Mary's thistle and dandelions, and hay which they love to hide in as well. Good luck, I hope you have lots of fun with your pets.

I used to have a guinea pig, and I fed him food pellets from the pet store as well as fresh vegetables. Guinea pigs also like to eat some vegetable matter that people don't, such as chickweed and banana peels. Dandelion greens are also good (people can eat them in salad, too). I don't recall my guinea pig ever not eating any vegetable I gave him. He loved them so much that he would start squealing whenever he heard the refridgerator door open, because that meant I was going to give him some spinach or carrots!
If you want to feed your pet any local greens (such as greens from common weeds), talk to someone at the pet store about what is safe.

well first of all they should have a pellet food for guiena pigs (found at a pet store), they can also eat timothy hay, carrots, grass, dark leafy veggies, parsley or any othe rveggie w/ vitamin C, cabbage, apples, and more. if ANY of the food have seeds in them you MUST remove them because they are toxic to them. hope this helps =)

You actually have to be careful some foods that are ok for us can be deadly for them. Cabbage will give them lots of gas, and lettuce such as iceburg is mostly water there's no nutritional value in it, nuts are really high in fat and rhubarb I believe is toxic to them you can google foods for them, there's lots of sites with info on that...

lettuce, cabbage, carrots, ect. they are all ok in small portions. You do need to make sure that they are getting regular food that is for tem from the pet store and that they get plenty of water. You also need to make sure that the cage is cleaned out regularly because they can get wettail and it can kill them.

carrots, lettuce, apples, etc. you can also buy premade guinea pig food, which has dried veggies in it as well as pellets of stuff that's good for them. but keep it varied- too much of one food isn't good for them and the won't get all the nutrients they need
