Can anyone out there help me find an email address or postal address for the European Convention on Human Rights - (Brussels??) I think that's where its located, more so The European High Court of Appeal, I'm getting the run around from the British High Court and I have only one avenue left open to me to get fair justice done ie: EU High Court of Appeal, however the task of finding them or knowing how to contact them is more illusive than the Scarlet Pimpernel, any background info would be great, your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Hi Andrew,

Lets clear a few things up for you here.

If the court of appeal in the UK has found against you, you will need to seek leave to appeal to the House of Lords. This is the highest court in the land and lose there before the European court will look at the case.

The European Convention on Human Rights are a list of basic rights.

You need to look at the Human Rights Act 1998.

You need to know and understand in what way your rights have been violated to look at the correct section.

As you have not given any details I cannot tell you which section of the 1998 Act to look at, assuming it is applicable. There may be another area of law that applies to your particular issue.

I suggest you talk to your solicitor about the issues you have, but be aware that if you do go all the way it could prove very expensive if you have to fund this yourself.

The site addresses you need are:-
http://ec.europa.eu
http://ec.europa.eu/unitedkingdom/information/eu_information_in_the_uk/index_en.htm#5

You will need to trawl through the site to find what you are looking for but hope this helps.

Good luck.
