Most of Saddam's money fled with his wife and daughters when they left the country. The days before we crossed the border he was busy sending it here and there in efforts to have the money for exhile. Quite a large amount was sent to Syria. This is where he had planned to flee to. I don't know if it ended up with his wife and daughters or if the Syria governement ended up with some.
The rest was turned over to the Iraqi government. Some has gone to the rebuilding effort.

Any man of common sense will tell the funds were taken by captors who now hasten saddam's elimination in order to cover up the plunder?

If I were the optomistic type, I would say that the money was given back to the Iraqi people. If I were the suspicious type, I would say that most of it is here in the US in the pockets of some politician or another...
BUT since I am just me...I will say that waht ever belief about it gives one comfort is just as likely as any other....

I think they went to the U.S., since they are the ones who discovered the money. Bad Saddam! Bad!
