Hang him sure, but I thought this mentality went out with the covered wagon.

Incidentally, I'm referring more to the eager beavers on this forum who want to download the video or catch it on cable TV news. The victims' families is one thing, millions of Americans far removed from the event is another.

People eager to see such a thing just do NOT understand the sanctity of life. Even though he did atrocious things and was so evil, we should not take it lightly when someone is put to death.

The mentality is still alive and well in the Middle East. Remember the gruesome video beheading of Daniel Pearlman. The stone age mentality of middle easterners need to see the results of tyranny. They won't believe otherwise. They had to be shown the bodies of Saddam's sons before they believed that either.

searching at a number of the previous solutions jogs my memory that those who shout loudest have the least to assert and the most to hide. The Iraqis that Saddam killed were many times killed with the conivance and appoval of england and u.s., not that Britain has had an self sufficient voice for years, and we killed many with the sanctions we imposed on Iraq, which the politicians knew and probably change into hoping might want to be the case, so that they could portray what were their murderous tyrant as now an self sufficient murderous tyrant. try searching behind the headlines, a number of you.

Yes I think so. Although he was evil I think it's just as evil to want to see another human being die. Most of the people that want to see it probably haven't been affected by Saddam Hussein in any way, they'd probably be just as happy watching anyone die.
The world is a sick place.

Nope. Those that want to see the corpse have seen things much worse on the TV. Think of all the people dieing, suffering, brutally beaten up. Do you think one hanging of man will effect a generation that has seen things more morbid than that?

OF COURSE!~
It's an old DSM remedy called "Clockwork Orange." If you've not seen that video therapy, just call your local DFS, for they are very familiar with it.
Torture them in, Torture them out... It goes back to SS days, and the methodology they perfected back then, and use very much behind the scenes everywhere in the US today.

Justice was served, but I have no need or desire to watch a man die on TV or anywhere else for that matter. It scares me that anyone would want to watch such a thing, no matter the circumstances..

Yes, people eager to actually witness the execution could use some therapy. It's one thing to support the death penalty and it's another to want to witness it.
