My first recomendation would be Firefox 2.0. It is a free download from mozilla.org. It's a wonderful browser that is much more powerful than IE.

That being said, Firefox does have a few glitches, because its so new. If you don't want to deal with that, then go with IE7.

You should use Firefox

United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team:
"There are a number of significant vulnerabilities in technologies related to the IE domain/zone...It is possible to reduce exposure to these vulnerabilities by using a different web browser"

I would install IE7 (and all other available updates from Microsoft Update--update.microsoft.com) to address some of the security issues in earlier versions of IE and Windows itself--and then use Firefox 2 for day-to-day browsing.

IE6 is as good as any! What you need to learn is advanced search. Open advanced search up and play with it a little, it makes it much easier to find what you are lookin for on the net. As far as comments on IE&, I havent seen anything but bugs in it yet! When they clean it up and make it work properly maybe I will give it a whirl.....

FIREFOX is awesome. You can easily customize it with themes, extensions, and plugins, mine has an osx theme right now. Downloads are quick, and security is great. Heres the download link http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox
