china, could be, maybe, but not for a long time. they do not have the infrastructure. the eu? thats a joke. they are nothing but a weak unit of old countries slowly, but surely, being taken over by the muslims. they do not reproduce enough to populate. europe is slowly, sadly, dying...

It is true, and the rest of the world better be glad it is. If China was the superpower, we would all be living as the chinese people live, controlled, scared, poor, hungry, and communist. The European Union, is not a country, they are many countries, and none of them are united. They all think differently, and cannot be a superpower. They are not a WHOLE ruling nation.

It is true for now. But there are a couple of nations and/or groups of nations that could join or surpass the U.S. in a number of years (not likely within twenty years at the outside).
What makes the U.S. the only superpower is not just her military strength, but her economic strength as well.
What is likely to eventually overtake the U.S. isnt a greater military power, but an economic one. This is one reason, in my opinion anyway, that the U.S. is so interested in maintaining a stronghold in the middle east. If the U.S. was to remain hands off, the Middle East as a whole would gain enormous economic power strictly through its stranglehold on oil reserves.

I don't know if it is "ture", but it is true. China's per capita GDP is about 1/6 of ours. Their army, while huge, isn't nearly as well trained, well led or well equipped as ours. They are not capably of fighting a war far from their borders. The EU may match up economically, but with the exception of the UK, their combined military couldn't fight it's way out of a wet paper bag.

Yes it is, but your right china is rising fast but has a terrible amount of catching up to do. The EU while large is a grouping of many different countries all, and not a unified entity so it's ability to influence the world in the same way a superpower can is severly limited.

The US is no superpower. They haven't won a war since WW2 and won't win one for some time, if ever again. The US has, if you will, given in to conceit. The USA is a struggling country with a superpower facade.

Well you'd have to look at it from a war power standpoint. If the United States remains a superpower it is only because of the very large deterrent arsenal that it posesses. Rather I would be one to say that it would me closer to china or one of the larger european countries, maybe russia.

China is NOWHERE NEAR the USA. Yes, it's economy is growing, but only in relative terms. China has four times our population, but it's economy is ONE THENTH of America's. Additionally, their technolgy SUCKS. They develop NOTHING.
Europe is nowhere near us either. You yourself even indiacte that Europe is behind China. Excuse me, but if any nation or group of nations are "behind China," how good can THAT be?
No, Europe will never be the power that the USA is, because it has chosen to pour much of its money into the scam that is social welfare.
America will remain the world's superpower long after we all die. As God intended.

It is true. But I agree with you. We have a serious trade deficit and if our government doesn't do something about it China may become the "top dog" before long. That would be a big mistake.
