Is there such a boat that goes from China to US? Why not bring paragliders on the planes?

There is another air crash in US. Is riding a plane safe? Is there a way to go from China to US other than by air? Why not bring paragliders on the planes? In case of emergency, you can jump out. Is there such a boat that goes from China to US?

Princess cruise line offers a cruise from Anchorage, Alaska to Beijing. So there ya go, one from the US to China =)

Planes are safer than cars - the crashes just make more news. Stay away from China Southern airlines, but everybody else is great.
