I'd like to learn how to dance, especially to swing and hip hop. Most of the classes I've found are centered on choreography, but I just wanna be good enough to enjoy myself at a club and not look like a fool. Any suggestions?
P.S. Yes, I have rhythm, so that's not a problem.

well.. i am in hip hop, jazz dance , and gymnastics . i have been since i was 4 and i didnt have to go on a diet or anything i was born super skinny but any way . you can find a funky beat that you like and watch cool movies like bring it on or step up and then learn from them ... then when you go to a dance studio you dont look like a fool .. they will most likely accept you .. oh yeah .. PRACTICE

Like many other people have said, practice practice practice. It's key. But another important aspect is discipline. You have to be patient with your body. Some movements will be very foreign and will take time for you to learn how to isolate muscles in your body that you didn't even know existed!

Practice
Discipline
Patience

And of course!!!! FUN!!!! If you're not having fun, you won't be as good at dancing.

just go out to clubs and dance with other people around, if you're not comfortable at first then just watch what other people are doing and imitate the moves and put your own spin on things

try to create you own style, in any type of dance. Dance to you feel that your soul feels that its flying. Dance and keep on Dancing, you will find a certain type of freedom, it will make you happier, and drink water and eat healthy.
