I personally think Saddam should be left in prison.
I think it is rather strange that once upon a time (not toio long ago) under Reagan and Bush Snr he was Our Man in the Middle East- after all he and Chemical Ali got their nerve weapons from both the US and Britain- that's how they suspected he may still have them.
Never forget- the US and the UK armed Hussein to fight a war of mutual destruction with Iran. Saddam was the US man of the middle-east.
I think if one mass-killer should hang, ALL should.
I think the sorriest point of the whole saga is that Blair, Straw, Berluscconi, Bush Jnr, Rice, Cheney and Rumsfeld et al criminalum vulgare, will never hang or face trial for their illegal and UN opposed invasion and occupation of a sovereign nation that was no threat to any country in the region and for the thousands of innocent civilians killed for an unprovoked war.
The very sad truth is, were it not for the invasion, thousands of people would be alive and whole. However many Saddam's cronies are tried- it's still not going to grow back the arms and legs blown off by or re-animate the dead, who would be alive and whole were it not for these imposed 'birth pangs of democracy' (as Rice so condescendingly and dismissively labeled the horrendous toll).
As Putin commented to a bellicose Cheney criticising perceived lack of democracy from Putin government slander restrictions on Russian media; "Well, I for one would not want the kind of US democracy we now see in Iraq".
So hang not only Saddam, but also Bush, Blair, Rumsfeld, Cheney and Rice and the rest, who are all murderous conspirators, then justice will truly be served.

I oppose the hanging of Saddam because I oppose the death penalty in general. Then there's the fact that it turns him into a martyr in the eyes of many, surely something he doesn't deserve. The human race needs to STOP finding ways to justify killing.

I think Saddam should of been tied to a tree in the wilderness or something other then killing him. He is certainly not going to Heaven, he was a meany...lol. I wonder what his death will spark in Iraq. Maybe now that they know he is dead they will stop attacking us and let our soldiers come home...or whatever they were doing, I don't watch a lot of TV.

The US did nothing to Saddam except arrest him and jail him. A legitimate Iraqi government tried and executed him. Where did you get info? From CNN or from the misinformative democrats?

I'm opposed to it! I think life in prision would've been a far worse sentence than being senteced to death. He wants to die so he can "so called" have sex with 70 virgins or something. He will be suprised though when he is burning in hell!

Well, it's pretty barbaric, but remember, it wasn't the US that hanged him, it was Iraq.
