When installing windows XP, I get asked for file viaagp1.sys. I can't find it. I think it has something to do with my video card. I searched my other comptuer for the file and can't find it. I've search the web with no luck either.

Tell me if this sounds familiar. You did a "repair installation" on Windows XP, it asked for viaagp1.sys, a file which you do not have. You ignored it, it looked like installation was proceeding...and then you just hung. Or maybe you booted fine but Windows now has no clue what your AGP adapter is, and everything is just generic default (what happened to me)

I found the VIAAGP site and it has numerous driver downloads. Even the VIAAGP1.sys has numerous choices. Since I'm the end of the End Users, and can only discern my OS is Windows XP Pro, I know that driver is supposed to apply to that. But when I downloaded it, it went into my Windows file. I noticed it does not activate by clicking on an "Executable" extension. So I'm at a loss to figure out how to get it running and recognized by Windows XP, unless I have to reinstall XP and hope it see the file in the Windows Folder.
