New Orleans is a nasty city! I don't see why anyone would want to go there for any reason!

Probably isolated incident...I lived there for years and you had good ones stop you some times and bad ones stop you sometimes..Police are a strange breed to start with..they are kind of clanish ..I dated a female cop before years ago.I thought she was a very good cop..used to chat with her while she was on patrol and it was usally all good ,but one night she got the God complex and pulled someone over for spite.. I then realized it goes to their heads sometimes.. the power but well so does every other profession even doctors, nurses, mechcanics etc. I You just got a bad one.. and believe me when i say they are everywhere.I used to get upset when i got pulled over in new orleans but i always got upset no matter where ,so dont take out the whole city on one cop..it happens and could happen in your town.. Im not trying to defend anyone but would gladly say the same thing about the cops in your town ..give them the benefit there are alot of good cops but then there is always a bad apple in a barrel anywhere.. Like I said im not defending anyone just saying it happens.. New Orleans just got a lot of bad publicity..I used to tell people i was from there ,now I dont anymore.. If they ask I will tell em but its so sad a whole city suffering for a handful of morons.. that don't even live there anymore they are moved everywhere else..

It's well known that Louisiana is a very corrupt stat, well My be Bush didn't realize it when he handed money over for Katrina (sic). As for Racist cops. It;s retaliatory racism. Racism begets racism.. There are a few who believes if they were treated badly, it is ok to treat others badly. I've seen Jews use the Holocaust or Progroms from their grandparents to justify their abusive act as well as African Americans use slavery to justify their illegal acts. Just remember that they (the racist) are the minority or you would become one of them. Don't prejudge a person because of an act by the few. Your more likely to remember the bad events more than the goods. I figured that out 5 years ago, because I realized that most of the evil things happen to me was at the hands of the Jews. Then I realize that the people who defended me the most were also the Jews. There are good and bad in any group, nut unfortunately the evil stand out. It takes 1 out of a hundred to make a group look bad.

New Orleans cops are paid less than most mall security guards. This makes them the most unprofessional and corrupt police force in the US.

I always thought they were prejudiced against blacks. Whatever. There isn't anyone who can read in the u.s. who isn't aware of the corruption which exists in New Orleans both in its government officials as well as its police dept.

they were probably posing as cops and not really cops at all. ever thought about that? in any case like that, you should always ask for a badge number, names, and write down the vehicles tags. they do not represent the whole of the law enforcement in new orleans so it would be reverse racism to assume that they racial profiled you cause you're white. besides, c'mon. cause you're white? it's always they other way(s) around.
