What if chruch, religion, laws and society are all clever inventions placed before us to keep society in order under someone else who is getting rich off of our stupidity?

What if when you die, you don't go to a HEaven or Hell, but you simply DIE and everything goes black...perhaps you are nothing more than a combination of nerves and feeling that has been ordered and structured by evolution and natural progression of species? Perhaps your death will be no different than that of an ant or the common flea?

If a 50 cent condom or a $500 abortion can put an end to life, then LIFE DOES HAVE A PRICE.

What if life is meaningless and the entire human race is doomed by either an extinction level event?

If life is meaningless (in the sense that it is random, chaotic & that there is no order placed upon it, no such thing as destiny, no afterlife etc) then the pressure is off so just enjoy yourself! It can't hurt. You can still give it meaning, make the best of it. Enjoy it, however long or short it may be. It's still a beautiful world. Get close to nature. Watch the sunrise. Walk beneath the trees. How can you call it meaningless? Fall in love, make a friend, laugh, dance, create something, learn something! There's so much to see and do and be! How is it meaningless? Enjoy life. This is the meaning no matter how long your life is & no matter whether there is an afterlife. If you make the best of it, then you have nothing to lose & you may be pleasantly surprised that there was a meaning, there was a God after all. Approach life with love. Your life matters. We may all be wiped out tomorrow like the dinosaurs or we may live on for many centuries but either way, you can live in this moment, you can enjoy today and that's worth it. Why worry about things that may never happen? You can make life a Heaven or a Hell, so why not choose happiness? This moment is the only one you can do anything about, so stop worrying & just have fun!

Live for now. Whether there is a God or not, your life is yours to do the best you can with it.

LIFE IS PRICELESS.

:)

Yes! Church, religion, laws and society are all inventions of the brains of men placed before us to keep society in order.
when you die, you don't go to a Heaven or Hell, but you simply DIE and everything goes black...( ???) perhaps you are nothing more than a combination of nerves and feeling that has been ordered and structured by evolution (???) and natural progression of species? Perhaps your death will be no different than that of an ant or the common flea. (DOES IT really matter It it does to whom ??? ).
I Feel that this type of thinking must belong to a highly intelligent soul' still attached to the material manifested god.
Kindly ask (to whom ???) this applies body, mind, soul or spirit

That's pretty sad that you should have to ask such a
question. Life is only meaningless if you fail to attach
any meaning to it. I happen to believe that when I die,
everything will "go black," my consciousness will be
extinguished, and my body will putrefy as any ant's
would. Religion, government, and society are indeed
inventions intended to enslave man's mind, body and
spirit. So what?? You have Life, and this is something
special- something to be cherished. You must believe
this, or you would've jumped off a bridge a long time
ago. So eat, drink, and be merry, for tonight may be
your last. Please, for the love of Graham Crackers,
find some sort of meaning in it and have a good time.
That IS the meaning of life, friend- that you make
something of it.

You could make your life meaningful by:

1. The state of your soul. (in the wide, deep and large meanings)

2. The way that you treat people.

3. The pure love that you have in your heart.

4. Live life without regrets but don't be afraid to live life or you will regret it.

5. All of your life has all been the test, you will find the gate is opened even though your spirits broken.

6. Everyone wants to be successful and righteous in so many way, but the most important is to be a happy person and a good person....

Sound so corny I know, but it's the truth.

I wish this question was easy to answer. However, without any speculation we can be certain that life on earth is not at all meaningless. Human beings are meaningful individuals whether one lives for oneself or for a greater cause. Some believe there's not life after death, what if there's life after death? I would rather go with what you are so named "religious inventions" that is living life as if it is meaningful and has great consequences at the end of one's journey on earth.

I would prefer living my life in accordance with the reason which I was created for. Nothing less than doing the will of and living for God. That is to have a personal relationship with God through his Son Jesus Christ. The end which God created the world and human beings is nothing but for his glory. We are created to shine and bring forth God's glory, radiating his magnificent beauty. That is the true meaning of life.

I'm afraid you're life is meaningless, Jon. Mine too.
I suppose you could attach some temporary purpose to it by procreating, but that's about it.
Ultimately, everything will have to end, and your life will have been pointless. This is the crux of all human discontent. Something most humans cannot accept.
You have two choices: you can either reach for the whiskey and revolver, or you can enjoy the rest of your life while it lasts.
It's not a difficult choice to make.

If it's meaningless and I just cease to exist upon death I have lived a good, clean, happy and fulfilled life with no regrets. I have also set a good example for my children and others around me to see and to follow.

Being a Christian I believe we do go to Heaven or Hell. I'm planning on Heaven. If I'm wrong, I've lost nothing. If I'm right I have gained a precious eternity.

It's a win-win situation for me. Not so for the Atheists.

If we allow ourselves to be exploited that does not mean that life has no meaning, it has a meaning for exploiter and exploited.
The price of a condom or whatever does not mean that life has a price, the condom does.
We can put meaning into life in many ways, good or evil.
Giving love is the way to become immortal; we will be remembered long after we die.
We cannot be extinguished as matter is indestructible.
We are as old as the Universe because we are part of it.

It isn't meaningless.... I know for certain that God exists and that Christ died for our sins and all the promises are real. I can swear to you that the Bible is the truth as it is written, nothing taken away and nothing added.... I could tell you why I am certain, I could tell you of an experience that turned me from a what if person to a I know for positive person, but you would still be shouting WHAT IF because you will have to find it or experience it for yourself. All I can do is say "He is real" and keep looking, because he is waiting for you...
