who cares? i just love spongebob the way he is. I mean he's a SPONGE, most kitchen sponges are yellow. hes sooo funny though =)

Spongebob is created for children, Children love bright colours.
And natural sponges which we used are always in shades from light brown to yellow.

they're sterotyping the common relatives dish sponge. Did you apart from would understand that genuine coral sponges are no longer something like him the two, no longer in basic terms in coloration yet each thing else. So why he's a technique or the different a spiecies contained in the sea is irrelevent. Its greater relevent to think of that he's in basic terms some rubbish that wound up available contained in the sea.

He drank a lot of beer. Then he threw up on the floor and got beat up by the bartender. Then the bartender had to call for an ambulence to pick him up so he didnt die. While on the way though the ambulence crashed and caught on fire which caused him to start burning. Then he realized that he was really burning and he was still drunk. Then he went home and didnt realize that he was robbed. This all caused him to be yellow.

Sea sponges can come in all sorts of colors, I guess they thought it would make more sense to make him yellow so kids won’t get confused “why is Spongebob pink?” is one of the question they probally didn't want to hear all the time.

Because he is a synthetic cellulose kitchen sponge, that’s why! He does not belong on the bottom of the sea—he is rectangular, and belongs in a kitchen somewhere! He is NOT a natural sea sponge—he was ADOPTED!
That is what makes him so funny. He is not gay, he is not stupid, he is not brain damaged. He is just out of place, and nobody realizes it.

Its either a racist plot to ridicule Asians, or because lots of kitchen sponges are yellow and yellow is a color that shows up well against cool colored backgrounds in the cartoon.
