Yes...my son was born early, and he was beyond normal and healthy. In fact, he wasn't even on the pediatrician's chart until after he turned 1! If you were to look at him today, you'd think he was 3, when he is actually 21-months old (he's normal-looking, not fat, and is rather tall). If your baby's weight and all checks out normal, you'll be out in two days. If not, then they will release you after the two days and keep him until they're sure he/she is able to leave. I wouldn't worry if I were you.

I think you asked if you gave birth at 8 months, would that baby be healthy.
It depends on the reason you would go into labor at 8 months and is the situation directly affecting the fetus. Also, depends on how many weeks. The last trimester is the most important trimester for the baby to develop the lungs and gain weight.
If it is born in the later part of the 8th month, with no other maternal or fetal complications in direct relation to the early birth, the baby should be fine. You should talk with your doctor about the reason you are worried about giving birth at 8 months. If you have any more questions for Yahoo, please be more specific. Hard to give a direct answer with such an open question.

Do you mean if you're 8 months pregnant?
If that's what you're asking, the answer is yes. Most often they will do tests to make sure the baby's lungs are fully matured. If they are not, doctors have medication they can give you to mature the baby's lungs more quickly.
A lot of time babies are born at 8 months and they do fine. They may be a bit smaller but they usually do well.

Of course. My neice was born after only 7 months in the womb and she's fine. At first, there may be some of the premie problems, but the baby usually grows up normally with the proper amount of care. But next time, please word your question so that people can easily understand, as even I am not quite sure what your question really was and can only guess at the appropriate answer to give you.

Absolutely! If you and the father are healthy, and you haven't been smoking, drinking or drugging, there shouldn't be a problem. The hospital MAY want to deep the baby for a few days, but probably will send the tyke home with mom. So you can smile now.
Congratulations, and best of luck.

Hello,
I think you are saying if your baby is only born at 8 months gestation, right?
If so, then the answer is yes.
My twins were born at 32 weeks and are very healthy and fun babies at 14 months today.
Hope this helps you................. : - O

it's possible but hopefully that won't happen. they baby need the extra time in to build fat to keep him/warm and his/her lungs could not be fully developed. if the lungs aren't developed they could put the baby on steroids to make them grow faster.
of course, your due date could be off and you could be full term at 8 months
