Face powder helps to even out your complexion and hide imperfections. It also helps to keep your face from looking oily and it also helps to make your foundation last longer and prevent smearing or smudging.

Face powder is supposed to give you a finished look after applying foundation, and adds some longlasting ability to your base as well. I use Covergirl loose powder. It comes in a shaker-like compact and I have combination skin. If price isn't an object, try out a few and see which one you like.

Face Powder is great for touch ups, say a red nose, or an area of skin that looks a bit out of place. I don't know the exact shade of your skin, but I would go to any store that sells makeup and just try out the different products to see whats right for you!

it is supposed to keep the shine away and can just give you a smoother look, evening out any imperfections and blending blush in better...
there is a new mineral powder by L'Oreal that does double duty as foundation and powder, looks real natural on and markets for about 20 bux a container...it brushes on like a powder, lickety split...

Powder helps to complete an "air-brushed" look, helps your foundation last longer, and most of all, takes the shine away from the oil on your face. That's why you hear women say, "I need to go powder my nose."

for people with bad skin face powder is an instant clear skin thing, but in the end face powder will just clog your pores even more...but if i had to recommend i would say bare minerals

Well powder is an essential in makeup. you dont really have to use it. But if you wear foundation, you should use it. it makes your face not look oily from the foundation (not shiny).

I've heard that it "sets" the foundation. Um I have bare essentials, but I've heard Jane Iredale mineral powder is good also.
