80 makes you feel better. The space is nice to have in case you want it. But from what you say, yoy may only need the 30. Depends on how large your CD collection is. under 2000 songs, you are golden for 30 gigs. 80 has better battery life though.

the space sounds really tempting but theres no way u could fill up a 80 GB ipod with only music, the only reason they have it because of movie lovers and the average movie takes up3 to 4 GB.
but if ur a music fan then get a 30GB but if u love movies then get the 80 GB

by utilising far, yet i presumed the 30gig video and 8gig nano are the comparable cost and the 1gig nano and 2gig nano are actually not truly actual worth the fee while placed next to the 30gig video, the place simply by fact the 50gig video is greater expensive! yet while your goin for convinience and charm choose for nano and 8gigs is sweet for song and photographs and so as that they've a cool colour decision, yet while ur goin for hardware and entertainment the place u can acquire finished movies and song movies and have hella song then you definately decide on the iPod video! yet its all in line with how u plan on utilising ur iPod and what you like!

If your just going to house music, the 30 will do. If you want to steal videos, the 80's for you!(Sweet, right?)

Unless you are going to store stacks of movies on it I would only get the 30gb. You can still put a fair ammount of movies on the 30gb i pod so I would just get that one unless you have more than 25gb of stuff to go onto it allready

I just bought the 80. My theory is that I won't have to replace it until it fails. It will hold everything I own and then some. It's always better to have extra room.

I don't know. Name me 8000 songs you'd like to hear in a row. If you can't do that, then I'd say the lesser version should do you just fine.

don't get an 80gig ipod you will waste your money but of course it is up to you, and it depends on the size of your CD collection. but i don't think anyone needs more than a 30gig
