The man would be paying for his crime, so there would be no need to express hatred. I would tell him the truth, that what he did was wrong, and that he has to pay for it with his life. But, then, I would tell him that I am sorry for the part our country played in it. What he did to his people was their concern, not ours, and we weren't there to find nuclear weapons, we were there because Saddam tried to kill Dubyah's daddy!

To express hatred or anger would be completely futile. I wouldn't feel better - to be mean and hateful saves 0 lives and brings 0 people back from the dead. And even if anything I did say made me feel better, it would be too late to make a difference for the condemned.
I don't know how I feel about it. Yes, he was a tyrant and by all the standards I know he was an evil man, but is this really the solution? Will we ever move past an eye for an eye and what does this execution mean to our country?
Its the end of an era, thats for sure, but I don't know what to think about it.

you have a clever question there, and the respond lies interior the fact the government (and in all probability the media) had to spare the general public at great -- grotesque photos. Plus the undeniable fact that westerners are no longer familiar with that style of terrible photos. We and you ought to take their be conscious for it -- and supply up the belief and have self belief that he's "a hundred in line with cent ineffective". enable's no longer pass back to the thought that he might desire to nonetheless be alive and could make a come back...No way.

Ethically, I regret that we (humans, not any specific nation or political group) have taken upon ourselves to end another human's life. In some way it diminishes all of us.
Politically, I worry about creating a martyr.
I probably would not say anything to him--from what I read in the papers, I didn't find him an appealing character.
I'm just sorry that capital punishment exists.

Well....The funny thing is I thought I would feel different about it all. I figured I'd be happy or have some sense of closure. Today while watching the news it was a shocked and for some reason I feel sorry for him. It was rather depressing to me. I just think he was driven crazy and was a dark confused soul. Which he was a very evil. Still kinda sad.
I'm looking at it the wrong way tho...

No, at the end of someone's life, there is really nothing to say. Everything that has gone before is meaningless, it's just one human facing the ultimate ride we will all face some day. There is no glee in that.

I don't even think I could express in words what I would say, so no, I would say a silent prayer for everyone he tortured or killed, and think I hope he burns in hell, though I know he will.

Considering I have read allot of books about his prison survivors and know that he killed and tortured so many innocent people(adults and children) I would have gave him a swift kick in the nads and wished him a swift trip to hell.

I wouldn't say a word to him, I would spit in his face. I and a lot of people toasted his death at 11:00 p.m.
