my computer doesnt show my disc drives anymore, what to do??

My computer started having a disk drive error for the A:\ diskette drive, and now it doesnt even show my D:\ and E:\ CD disc drives in my windows explorer. Anyone know how to fix it???

Try this:

Use the wizard to detect your hardware and install the driver

Click "start"-control-panel"-add hardware" and see what hardware is on your computer.This will also tell you which hardware is working and which isn't.

Make sure that you didn't star your computer in safe mode in the first place. Run a scan / check through the computer's manager programme. This would probably fix your problem
