Yes, that site is real in that it does exist. But I don't think that is your question. All kidding aside, most agents and managers in the top film/TV locations of LA and New York are NOT looking online for talent. Not that the cannot, but they just don't have the time for it. Most of them are constantly baraged by massive amounts of mailed headshot submissions. The actors come to them, not the other way around, unless the actor is already very established, and it's a high profile agency like William Morris, et al. If you are in key markets like LA or New York, or even Florida and a few other places, the best site I know of is ActorAccess.com It is a spinoff of Breakdown Services (these is where all the big film and commercial casting comes from) and has things like hard to cast roles, local production/commercials, student films, etc which are all excellent places to help build your resume. If you are in LA, the another great site is LACasting.com I'm in LA, and do have a manager, but still constantly use both sites to submit for things my manager wouldn't. For example, I recently grew my hair longer and didn't have any footage for my reel with the longer hair, so I submitted for a role on a short film, booked and shot the role, and am just waiting on the copy of them film so I can add it to my reel. It didn't pay anything so my manager wouldn't bother with it, but it's still another project for my resume and footage for my reel.

Legitimate Talent Agents and Casting Directors CANNOT look online for actors! Don't waste your time on that site.

If you want to be an actor, try to book a job as an Extra on a movie or commercial.

Also, check the Film and Television Commission for you City/State see below:
