I'm trying to have a very low electric bill, should I jsut leave my computer on and set standby to like 15 mins or should I just turn it off, someone told me that its better to let it just go to standby because everytime you turn it back on it used a lot of energy... I dont know, what do you think? THANKS!

Yes, it's good to leave your system on standby. It will take more electricity to turn it back on. By leaving your system on standby you will save more for your electricity bill. It don't take much current to operate your system when it's on standby.

Yeah you should always put your computer on stanby when your not using it or when you know that your not going to use it for a while. And yes by turning your computer on it does consume a massive amount of watts. So it will be best to keep it on standby.

I always turn mine off when I'm done using it, Chris. I also unplug it- personally, I feel more at ease leaving it off and unplugged!!! That's just my personal opinion!

it is better for the components on the motherboard if you leave the computer on. every time you shut it off, it makes the solder connections brittle when they cool dow.
