After the kids are grown why would anyone want to get along with their ex?As long as my ex stays away from me and out of my business we get along fine other than that she is a major pain in the butt.

It is possible to get along with one's Ex but not forever. People's life style changes with time thus it may be trying to still try to get along with one's Ex in the long run.

I've always pretty much gotten along with my ex husband. After all we have a daughter together and we BOTH wanted the divorce, it was fairly amicable. No battles in court. I just don't like talking to his girlfriend. LOL. It's not because she is his girlfriend...frankly I think he could MUCH better...I know TOASTERS that have higher IQs than this woman and she's not a pretty thing either.

I do, both of them... One is married with young children, and a sweet wife, the other is still "livin' in the 70's", single,has a van, long hair and is very unkept I wouldn't want either of them back as a mate, but they are ok on their own turf. As long as you view them that way, you should be able to ge along w/them just fine! I mean after all, you don't have to cook for them, sleep with them,fake an orgasm, or clean up the pee from in front of the toilet before you sit down, right? Be Happy for YOU and you can be happy for THEM ;-)

I do, I mean you can't love someone and just turn that off if the relationship doesn't work. If that was the case it wasn't true love right? It took a while, but me and my son's father are much better as friends. We get along now and I even get along with his girlfriend now. To me, if you love someone you just want to see them happy with or without you.

I think a lot do eventually.
But my Mother's still bitter over her divorce which was decades ago!! Thank God she doesn't talk about nearly as often as in the past.
Yeah, all you ex's out there learn how to move on, forgive, whatever. No one wants to be around that crap.

Some people do. My last ex keep trying to get back with me when HE broke us up in the first place. But I rejected him and he hasn't spoke to me since...
Otherwise my ex's just become my friends...

Yes they can! If you don't love them anymore there shouldn't be any problems with the two of you and if any problems it would be about child support or visitations if you have kids together. I don't see my ex now but when i did i didn't have a problem with it, i don't feel anything about him! he could see his kids and stuff and we both got remarried . Life goes on without them!
