I loved my pets.. they were my life. But now I am so easily irritated and like things quiet and calm. My pets are so soft and touch my skin which is already dry and 'sore'. They are hyper and move around all the time. I hear them walking 'click click click' on the floor. I am not even 4 months yet, and they annoy me so bad... Am I the only one? Will it go back to normal after the baby is born?

everyone started to bother me when i was first pregnant, my pets, my husband, the customers i had to serve everyday at work! i was very moody and just wanted to be left alone, youll find that anything annoys the crap out of you, some women are lucky and dont get that moody, but i sure was, i cheered up half way through my pregnancy, i am now overdue, only by 4 days, but im starting to get irritated again, but thats only cause im sick of being pregnant! so no, your not the only one, only time will make you feel better, and the feeling will pass, all the best!

Pets tend to feel that there is another being present natuarally it is the baby that they are going to be jealous of. Babys become our number on priority and we tend to forget about the pets that once was in their place. It will only get worse after the baby comes IF you tell them (the pets) that the baby is just like them and that he/she is not a replacement and make sure that you set the time for them to spend with you as well. Pets are somewhat like human beiings and they have feelings just the same. So makesure that you tell them the things that you used to tell them before the baby got here. Also the annoyance is normal pregnant woman find the strangest things annoying them so don't think tha you have to get rid of them just yet lol. well hopefully this helps out Good Luck!

I never had that problem... My problem was my doberman "Zahtara", she would get sympathy pains I guess you could call them. Anytime I would get moring sickness and I was in the bathroom... Well, Zahtara would do the same in the bathtub.
Also, she would NEVER get away from me. She constantly was following me and getting in bed with me. Although, she was the best dog I had. I had her since I was 8 and she just passed away last spring. I'm 26 now.

It might go away after you have the baby.. I know other things annoy me more being pregnant than when I'm not. Like my husbands military pocket watch I can hear at night.. OMG.. I want to take a hammer to it. LOL!! Im just more restless pregnant..

Good luck dear!!

my cats love me more now that I'm pregnant. They sleep on my legs at night, if I nap during the day they're in bed with me. But you know I love it. They keep me company when my husband isn't home. They're my girls so I guess they really haven't bothered me at all.
Although I do find that I am easily irritated by things, or at least easier than I used to be.
I'm not sure if it will go away since I'm only 5 months pregnant with my first, but good luck to you :)

everything annoys the crap outta me. it might not get better after you have the baby. but maybe then you can ask friends or family to pet sit for you. you'll still want things calm and quiet, and you'll lose a lot of sleep, and you'll probably be very cranky. maybe during your pregnancy you could keep them outside. and there are things you can give your pet to make them go to sleep, or at least calm down a lot. don't use it all the time, just when you really can't stand them. check out pet co or petsmart. good luck!!

Awww.They still ARE your life. They are concerned for you.Trim their nails.Get a carpet.Let them play outside more if possible so that you can have rest time or just go in your room & rest when need be.They love you & they will love & protect your baby. They are probably excited too. They are smarter than you may think.I think they already know a baby is coming.Congradulations.Try getting them rawhide chewies to keep them busy & settled.

Everything bothered me when when I was PG. My 2 cats, my husband and my other kids. It should go away after the baby. But for me it was some time after. My poor kids tried to help me with the baby and all they did was irritate me. I felt so bad. Now my adult daughter is PG and she tells me "Now I know what you were going through mom, I'm so sorry"....
