Tough love only works for addiction, not for a child who forgets to take medication. Perhaps you should be more kind about it. By punnishing her, she will not take them out of spite.

I think a small punishment is okay-I agree that taking medicine is real important. but writing lines is too harsh. maybe 10 cents off her pocket money? it's small but she'll realise it's a punishment. maybe call her at her medicine times? it will make her feel loved and also remind her. or you could talk to her about how important it is, how she must be responsible. if she really hates it tell her she can take a sweet after.

Instead of making it sound like a chore, make it fun. Take them for a month in a row and she can have a friend stay over, or you'll take her and one of her friends to the movies.
You'll only have to do it a few times because it'll become a habit. Make sure she understands what will happen when she doesn't take them. Let her decide if she wants you to put them out for her, if she wants a pill case type thing, or if she can do it.

set them on the counter where she might see them before school everyday. and if she ignores it, then yes i say a small punishment should be made. or make it fun like if she does take them everyday for a full week on the weekend you can do something special. like go to the mall or a movie.

My 13 yr old takes Ritalin and if I don't make sure she takes it she won't... she "forgets." If I have to leave before she gets up for school or something I have made her get up early and take them. Even an hour or 2 won't hurt her.
