I reckon 5
coz I heard that the maturity of men is like the age minus 5 years.. so if I have a bf that's 5 years older will mean that He's as mature as me...
And also after giving birth,, women will be older looking than men.. so if it's 5 years different, at least you can't tell a big different.

My parents have a 12-yr age difference. My boyfriend and I also happen to have a 12-yr age difference. We've been together for nearly 5 yrs and plan on getting married after I graduate college. I don't think marriage should be limited by age difference.

Physical age doesn't matter as much as mental and emotional age.
Lots of experience. I had a friend that had a wife that was 20 years older and they were one of the most harmonious couples I ever met.
I also had a friend that is my age (54) and married a woman 20 years younger just 2 years ago and they are already divorced.
Good luck

I think that they should try to stay in the same generation, (about 20 years should be the maximum difference). Basically when you are from the same generation, you will have a lot more in common. And also there is always the possibility of being widowed very young if you marry someone too old for you.

I think people should marry who they want to regardless of age. What makes me come to this conclusion? They simply have the right to. I am not a big proponent of making rules about this. Choosing a life partner is a very personal choice and not matter of public opinion.

The older the two people are, the less an age difference matters, so its hard to put an absolute rule on it. As long as they are both consenting adults, why should it matter to anyone else?

I think if both parties are in love with eachother there should be no matter how old he or she is(love<3has no boundaries)..although too young a person may be naive so in the terms of marriage well the right age has already been set.aboout the gap between each other it shouldnt matter as long as your mature enough to commit..

Hey as long as they're both adults, who am I to say their love is too far apart in age? Anyone should be allowed to marry. This includes people of different ages as well as gays and lesbians.
