i agree with the answerer above. marco polo is nice, but it can be a bit too stuffy. waterfront is more friendly and casual in a relaxed elegant kind of way.
i would say that those 2 are the best hotels in davao city.

You can choose among Marco Polo, Waterfront Davao Insular, Grand Mercure, Apo View. it depends on your budget. If you want a beach resort, try Pearl Farm beach. You can contact a travel agent because they have special rate to those hotels. try JLT Travel & Tours at 3631139 or 3657602
