I have had nothing but problems with the Depo shot. If on it too long it can cause many women to become sterile. It really messes up your hormones. When I came off of it I had 20 day long periods and then was 2 weeks late and found out I had low hormones. I had to go on the pill to get back to normal. A lot of women also gain weight. I gained 30 pounds and my ex-roommate gained 60 pounds, and was having a lot of emotional issues.

Depo Provera, which is the injectible form of bc is very dangerous. Many people have had severe permanent problems/damage from it. Look up "depo provera horrors".

you mean the depoprovera shot? i was on it for 2 yrs *its recommended you start taking the pill or some other form of b/c after 2 yrs on the shot* and had LOADS of problems.... first....my hair CONSTANTLY fell out...sex hurt worse than my first time....i bled after sex the first few months....after i got on the shot and had my period i bled heavily for about 3 months almost straight...you can gain up to like....50lbs on the shot just alone....the only GOOD things about the shot....is that you only have to go get it every 3 months....you stop your period...and there's basically no chance of getting pregnant.....but later on in life...if you take it more than 2 yrs at a time *sometimes just takingg it can do this to depending on the persons body* can make you sterile...and can lead up to loss of bone density my doctor told me that the safest way to take the shot is to take it for 2 yrs...stop start takin the pill for 2-4 years then start the shot and continue that way....so my advice to you....don't take it...just take the pill or use the patch or something...

Me and alot of friends have been on it and we all gained weight and had severe emotional problems. We were on it at different times and we were different ages, but we all had the same symtoms. we would cry about everything and became depressed.
